November

November 2nd our sweet little cousin Riley turned 1. Missy planned a crazy fun Carnival Party for him. It was so fun and she did a great job.

Their was chili dogs, pretzels and cheese, popcorn, cotton candy, cupcakes and so much more. I was in Junk food heaven.

She even rented a bounce house for the kids (and adults).

Ryker has been in Karate for 2 months now. He moved up from his white belt and is now a orange/white belt....a snow tiger. We love going to his classes twice a week and watching him. Kids doing karate is possible the cutest and funniest thing EVER.

WARNING: This may be the greatest thing you have seen this year. My dad is a crazy guy and likes to push the boundaries in life. Well he saw these beauties and couldn't live without them. When I first saw them on his feet I thought he looked like big foot. I laughed my head off. Yes these are shoes and they have a slot for each toe and yes he wears them in public....he has no shame.

My parents took Ryker to see my grandma Mema who lives in Cottonwood. They stayed the night and the next day went on a 4 hour train ride through Verde Valley.

On Vetreans day we went to the Zoo with my mom and brother. The weather was great but it was crowded. The kids had fun but it ended with tantrums and crying kids, Rigdon was not one of them. We waited in line for like 30 mins to see the new Koala, it was cute but not a good thing to do at the end of the trip.

Amelia and her little friend started a little "Movin and Groovin" tots class. They are so cute.

Well just a few things to document for the month of November.

Halloween

What a fun Halloween we had this year. First off my kids didn't mind one bit that they didn't go trick-or-treating on Sunday. We had so many parties that by the time we got to Sunday, they had fun passing candy out with their Pa.  Ok lets back up, so Wednesday before Halloween, Ryker came home from school and seemed fine. An hour later he complained his head hurt, then his stomach hurt and 3 hours later the boy was throwing up. I was so sad for him and hoping he would only have a 24 hour bug because Friday was his Halloween party at school and guess who is the room mom, yep me and how sad that would be if he had to stay home while I go and throw a party for the rest of his class. But he was feeling better the next day so he stayed home to rest on thursday and was as good as new on friday. So I have always wanted to be the room mom so I can plan and organize the holiday parties. I came up with 5 stations and the kids rotated to each station, then we ended with a calk walk and food.

One of the stations was "Pin the wart on the Witch" I made this witch poster, laminated it, then used green play-dough rolled into a little ball for the wart.

Another station was "Spooky Pumpkin faces" I cut out tons of eyes, noses, mouths and random shapes so the kids could take their felt pumpkin and design many fun faces.

Ooops, forgot to rotate this picture but this station was "Don't Eat Mr. Pumpkin". Most of the kids in the class never played this game before so it was alot of fun.

I also made a Halloween memory game and then we did a Ghost craft at the other station. I was bummed I didn't get pictures. We also made these Frankenstien bags to put all their goodies in to take home. They won a prize after they completed every station.

We also had these skeleton sugar cookies. I saw them on another blog and had to make them. So cute hu?

Then Saturday night was our wards Trunk-or-Treat party. So I'm a weirdo and love when all the kids have coordinating costumes. I what them all to be something completely different but Ryker had to be spiderman so then Millie was a Ladybug and Rigdon a Bee, so they all were  BUGS, yep that was the theme.

Seriously, have you ever seen a cuter Ladybug....I think not!!! =)

This brought back so many great memories. As soon as we got home Ryker and Amelia ran into the kitchen and started going through their bags to see what they got. I remember Abe and I staying up for hours after we got home, sorting and trading our candy. I always tried to trade my yucky candy for Abe's good candy. Ryker takes after his mamma.

I love my little skeletons. Happy Halloween!!
