First part of December

Ryker finally lost his 2 top teeth! They were dangling for awhile but Ryker wouldn't let anyone touch them. They seriously were grossing us all out. This happened just at the right time, right before Christmas. So I introduced him to the classic song "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth". I tried to get him to sing it at the ward christmas party but of course he wouldn't ;)

The boys worked really hard to put the Christmas tree up. Of course the bottom half of the tree was bare, Mr. Rigatoni was tryingto pull them off.

We went to see the Temple light and went through the visitor center for Family home ding ding....(that is how Amelia says it)

Oh Rigdon, my climber man. He would climb the book shelf and chuck all the book behind it. The shelves were full of books like 15 minutes prior to Rigdons climbing.

Back in October sometime my kids were being really rude and ungrateful for things. I could take it anymore and so I had lessons and talks with them on gratitude and told them how blessed they were to have what to have etc.. Then I thought came to me that we need to do more. As I thought of service opportunities, it was hard to come up with ideas for younger kids. Then I know I was inspired to plan and organize a service project that young kids could be apart of. After much thought and prayers I knew that donating items to the Children's hospital would be perfect. All of the ideas I thought of were going to take some money to buy the supplies. So I had to ask all those who wanted to participate to donate $5 per child. They could even have their child earn the money and the child could donate they money they earned. So 2 service projects could be done. I gathered the money and bought all the supplies need, preped the projects and we had our first "Kids who Care" service project. We decorated paper stockings then filled them with little prizes. This is a little tricky because you can use candy or snacks.

The kids also made and wrote in a card, that could be handed out to any of the children staying at the hospital. We also decorated felt ornaments to give to them kids.

It was a huge success and I'm so grateful for all those who came! About 50 kids total and we were able to make and donate 100 stocking, 100 ornaments and 50 cards. We are grateful to be healthy and well.

Amelia had her first tap dance performance. They did a dance to a Polar Express song so they costumes were PJs.

We were so proud of our little dollie!! She did great and theor were a full house watching.

Amelia and Erica, her best friend who is in the same dance class :)

Well I have been a mom for 6 1/2 years and I never had to deal with blood. But Rigdon changed all that for me. Luckily we were at Nana and Pa house and Pa being the fireman took care of the situation for me. Rigdon was playing in the garden with everyone and bent over to pick up something. Being the top heavy guy he is he fell forward onto a rock and it gave him a little gash. Of course it bleed and looked worse than it was but I was beyond freaked out seeing blood gushing out of his forehead all down his face. He was a trooper and he got all bandaged up. Ok no more "blood" accidents from teh rest of my kids please!!!

Family Pictures December 2012

I love family picture time. I know alot of people get stressed out but I love them!! Yes it is never easy to get a perfect picture but I don't worry about that. My family is full of busy busy kids and that is who we are :)  Cassie Bacon did a great job taking our pictures though. The locations was lovely as well.
