October

Ryker's class did a wood unit for science. They learned all about wood and one of the days they were able to build something with wood peices. I was able to go help the kids build. They used nails and hammers and then they painted their wood creation.

This was our 2nd annual Neighborhood movie night at the park.

We had a Halloween party with the Palmers and our friends the Spindles.  Our kids wore random costumes because we didn't want them to get their real costumes dirty. We were going to Disneyland right before Halloween and wanted to save them for that. So this is actually Rykers costume from last year.

Eating dinner

Riggy had on one of Rykers old costumes but he couldn't walk very good in it and kept tripping so we took it off and he was a cute baby in a diaper. Yes teh weather was that nice.....he wasn't cold.

Decorating sugar cookies.

Then we played the doughnut game. So funny to watch.

Amelia was a cheater ;)

Before the Disneyland trip the kids wanted to try on their costumes. I'm going to d a separate post for our Dland trip.

Halloween night. We ate dinner with some friends  then headed over to my Bompa Jesses and Grandma Anns house to see Sarah and Blake as well.

Rigdon's 1st Birthday

Yep it is true, my baby turned one! Boy do I love this boy!! He really has been just a great baby. I think his first 6 months were a little rough but after that he was smooth sailing. As I was trying to decide what kind of a birthday to have for this little guy I saw somewhere the "Hungry Little Caterpillar" party....I thought that is PERFECT because this kids has been such a great eater and will eat anything! Plus I LOVE Eric Carles books. So we had his little party over at Nana and Pas house and the weather was wonderful. His awesome Aunt Sarah made those cute cake pops and decorated it so adorable.

So he eats EVERYTHING but HATES to be dirty so diving into the cake was not as fun as we were hoping it would be.

Yeah, he screamed!!

I made some cute bean bags that looked like fruit and the kids had to throw them into his mouth.

This is Riggy with his 2 buds. Grant who is a few months older and Emerson who is a few months younger.

It was so much fun and I still can't believe he is so big. He was walking the week of his birthday and is all over the place. He is such an adorable kid :)

Shaun turns 30!!!!

Shaun turns 30!!!!
Sept 9, 1981  Shaun Michael Martineau was born into this world. Now fast forward 30 years and I'm sure his mom is proud of the man he has become.  Shaun LOVES sports and is a loyal fan to his AZ teams. I knew that having his kids all decked out in Diamondback clothes would make his day. Little did he know we had tickets to the game that night on his birthday.

We didn't get a group shot but we surprised him with tickets to the game and his parents and sister and her husband were there as well. He was very surprised.

The D-Backs won and after the game they had a fireworks show, we told him we paid for that and it was just for him ;)

It was a great day and I hope he enjoyed turning 30!!

September

At the beginning of this month, Amelia started preschool. She goes twice a week to Ms. Johnson. I know most people always ask....you teach preschool, why do you send  your kids to one? Well because it is good for them to go and get a little independence.

She was BEYOND excited to pick out her backpack. Of course it was a fairies one.

Amelia started dance class with her friend Erica. It is a combo class of tap and ballet.

Amelia also loves doing puzzles. She quite good at them too :)

Ryker started his 2nd year of soccer. He has improved so much. I love seeing the growth in kids as they work hard to learn a new skill. I was also the team mom so I got to make this banner. I cut a slit up the middle so the boys could run through it before each game.

Amelia was the best soccer sister. I made her this dress with soccer fabric and she wore it to every game!! She was also cheering him on the whole game.

August

Riggy is become quite the eater. He eats anything I put in front of him and he needs to be hosed off after every meal. Also Riggy got his first haircut!! I was not ready to cut off his scraggly hair but everyone else seemed to want it off. So we took advantage of having Shantay with us and she gave him a new look.

I didn't even recognize him! He looked like such a little boy now. I may have shed a few tears.

Well here we go again, Back to School!!! Ryker is starting All-Day Kindergarden this year =)  He was so excited to pick out his Transformers backpack and lunchbox. He is such a handsome boy!!

Here are all the kids saying good-bye to Ryker.

Ryker already knew some of thekids in his class. Wave bye-bye. Yep second year doing this and I still cried! My baby boy was going to be gone ALL DAY!!! I thought about him all day, I even drove by the school once or twice. Ooops, now you all know I'm crazy.

He is a Bulldog and wears his shirt EVERY Friday!

Shantays brother was coming home from his mission so they were able to come down for a week. They stayed with us part of the time and I loved it!! Millie is feeding Kinnley.

Cool dude, Riggy........wait, those are girls glasses!!

I had my kids scheduled for pictures with my talented friend, Amanda. She suggested to bring Briss and Kinners along so we can get a picture of all of them together!!! They turned out great, considering we were dealing with 5 busy, wiggly kids!

Holy cow, I'm in LOVE!!! Seriously, Rigdon is the best little guy ever. He is happy and content. I kiss on his cheeks all day and he gives me the best hugs. He wraps his little arms around my neck and holds on for awhile.

While Abe and Shantay were down with all the family they decided to bless Kinnley as well. She was adorable in her beautiful white dress.
