Last part of February and Birthdays Extravaganza!

Hi. My name is Rigdon and I don't take good naps for my mom. But I pull stunts like this and she forgets  all about that and just eats up my cuteness.

I LOVE when babies can sit and eat their toes =) Gross fact about me....I'm a nail biter...nasty habit but can't stop. Well I had even a nastier habit when I was little and it was, I bit my toenails. I just hope Riggy here doesn't start doing that.

For FHE we had a lesson on how the Constitution was an inspired document directly from Heavenly Father. With it being Presidents day and all, I thought it was very appropriate to continue teaching my children about our country and how blessed we to live in this choice land. I hope you can teach this as well because they won't learn that in school these days. I have some wonderful talks giving at conference about it if you would like me to send your way, let me know!!

Once again, my name is Rigdon and not only am I a terrible napper I drool like nobodies business. I've been doing this since 2 months and I'm not even teething.

Well the big day finally came...Amelia has been looking forward to her birthday since Christmas. February 25th 2008 this sweet little lady entered the world. You can read about it here =)

Good Morning Amelia and Happy Birthday!!!! Notice her cupcake PJs. She was ready for her day.

We took Ryker to school then off to Einstein bagels. We love bagels so it was a yummy breakfast. She like a plain bagel with strawberry (pink) cream cheese.

She had to practice awhile to master just holding up 3 fingers....she finally got it.

Waiting for her 3 little friends to come over so the Cupcake Birthday Party could start.

This was our table center piece.....a few pictures of Miss Millie growing up.

We did a little cupcake craft

Decorated our chief hats. I made Ryker a special red one since he didn't want to wear pink.

Decorated mini pink cupcakes.

Opening presents.

Then for dinner she wanted to eat pizza and ride the carousel.  So off to the mall to meet up with the grandparents.

Uncle Effy in the tea cup with them.

Love this picture.....Ryker was flying high.

Then my mom took her to the candy store and let her fill a bag of candy, She was in sugar heaven!!

Afterwards we headed home to blow out some candles and open her birthday gifts from us.

She got a crib for her babies. I made a little pad, blanket and pillow for it. With cupcake material of course.

She was spoiled rotten and LOVED every minute of it. Now I know why she came a day early and didn't want to share her birthday with me.

Our Rigatoni trying on the chiefs hat.

Then the next day, February 26th I had my 29th birthday. It started out with Rykers last basketball game. I will miss not going each week. It was so fun for us all.

Here we have Amelia in some of her new bling. She looked like a NBA basketball player wife =)

Ryker earned his metal and was very proud of it. He wore it the rest of the day. We are so proud of Ryker and his hard work =)

Then Shaun let me go to the store...all by myself. I just slowly looked at clothes and had a nice time being alone =) Then we went to Joes Farm and Grill for my favorite Blue cheese burger EVER. It was a great birthday and I'm so blessed to have so many family and friends who love and care for me!!! Thanks everyone =)

The beginning of Fun February

Shaun had to work a Saturday for ABC 15 so he got to take a 1/2 day during the week so we thought that would be a perfect time to go to the Sea Life Aquarium in AZ Mills Mall. I had bought tickets through Groupon awhile back.....it was a cool place but I wouldn't pay full price which is like $19 per person.

Ryker has always had a love for ocean animals. They do have lots of cool things to look.

They have these bubble looking things so you can pop your head up in to the huge tank and feel like you are underwater with the creatures.

They had some pretty big sharks in their biggest tank. That was Ryker's favorite part.

The jellyfish

Rigatoni slept the whole time and woke up at the end.

I gave Ryker a few options on Valentines Day cards and he choose the "Love-bot". They turned out super cute but took alot of time and work. Ryker and I worked on them a little each day over a couple of days. Ryker is a busy boy so I'm constantly trying to come up with different things for him to do, so this was fun mother-son time.

In the middle, the robots body is a piece of chocolate. I didn't come up with this on my own....I saw it on another blog.

Ryker's basketball coach works at Desert Ridge Highschool, so he asked if we would bring our team so they can play a little game against each other for the half time show. The crowd just loved them. They were so cute and it was so much fun to see them try and make shots to the high hoop (they play on a lower hoop).  Ryker is #5...he picked that number of course because he is 5 years old.

I finished the quilt top to for Amelia's soon to be big girl bed. I love it!!  I can't wait to get it quilted and then add the ruffle edging. I will post the finished product when it gets done. I LOVE quilting....I wish it weren't so darn expensive. I want to one day, be add to work that huge quilting machine and do it myself =)

Happy pre-Valentines day Sunday. Amelia all pretty in pink.

The big day is here. The night before I had the table set for breakfast and their little goodies with cards out. I also heart-attacked their rooms and some of the house.

Ryker with his Valentines goodness.

Millie and her good morning cheesy smile. (Riggy was still sleeping so no pictures of him-sad)

Our pink heart-shaped pancakes.

For Ryker's class party we did centers again. That is what the teacher likes best to keep things running smoothly. So the first center was a math dice game. They had to roll their dice and add it up then color in the heart with the number from their addition problem. They really liked it.

second station was making a Love-bug. I had the wings and body already cut out and glued together so they got to add foam sticker hearts, googly eyes and an antenna.

Third was a cookie decorating station. Always a favorite. Then for the next station they got to eat their cookie and read Valentines books.

Then their was a memory game. I found little objects that were red or pink. Then each child got a turn to take an object away and the others had to figure out what it was.

Ryker wanted me to take 2 pictures......this is his face because he had girly valentines

Then a happy face for the boy ones. He is such a goofball =)
