Indroducing the HOA Board..Egg Hunting Style

Back in November my partner in crime and I decided to run for our HOA Board of Directors, really for one purpose.....to bring our neighborhood together and get to know our neighbors. Hey I'm stuck in my house for a long time so might as well make the best of it right? Well let me just say we got more than we bargained for but it is nice knowing we are making a difference in our community. So we had our first neighborhood even and it was a huge Easter Egg Hunt with a game, face painting, a craft, bounce houses and food.

Here we are at the end of our event....we had a great turn out and we good lots of positive feed back so things can only get better from here on out.

500 doughnuts and 250 muffins.....we had lots of food.

Ryker was ready to hunt some eggs.....I owe him a HUGE thank you. Ryker and I stuffed 1,200 eggs. He loved helping me and I couldn't have done it without my Ryker man.

So with over 2,000 eggs total.... the kids had a blast finding them.

Ms. Millie was so excited to show me all her eggs.

Ryker spent most of his time in the bounce houses and huge blow up slide. All the kids were so respectful and not one injury.

I was running all over the place I forgot to take a picture of the craft table but Shuan snapped a picture of our AMAZING Young Women who helped with the face painting. Ok honestly we couldn't have done this with our our many ward members...so many people stepped up to help and we are so blessed to have a ward family to help out and that we can count on.

What a fun day and everything worked out great!!! I'm looking forward to our Fall Carnival and hopefully we can come up with something fun for the summer =)

PS sorry for some fuzzy looking pictures....the next day I realized their was a huge fingerprint right over the lens....probably mine.

So Lucky

I hope you all had a wonderful St. Pattys Day!! We sure did. With this being such a fun mini-holiday, I take advantage of wearing green, talking about gold and rainbows and of course trying to catch us a sneaky Leprechaun. I mean just think, if I can get my hands on one of those little guys, we would be set for life. I would make him take me to every rainbow and fork over his pot of gold =)

So the night before we built a little trap for him....We covered our trap with gold and Ryker drew a rainbow, to attract him.

Well, we woke up to find ALL of our gold gone and our milk and cookies were turned green. He left a note and some treats in the trap for us. Well better luck next year. Good thing Shaun didn't quit his job.

Later that day we had a few friends over for a little St. Patrick's Day fun. We started out by painting these pots black.......

Then what do you know...I rainbow showed up and it was a pot of gold, well candy gold.

This was my favorite. For lunch we had Rainbow fruit and cheese roll-ups on GREEN tortillas....mmmmmm I never knew a rainbow could taste so good.

The kids played outside for awhile then when they were getting to hot and sweaty we can in, cleaned up and decorated shamrock sugar cookies.

Thank you so much for the fun day. Everyone had green on so I could pinch anyone and I know next year will be the year I catch me a leprechaun =) Happy Spring Break!!!

Daddy's Girl

Under that thin bird hair is a wild sassy girl who loves her dadda. When I go to get her out of her crib in the morning, Shaun is always already gone for work but the first thing she says to be is 'Daddy, where's daddy?" I tell her he is at work and she grumbles. Then in a sad voice says "Daddy Yo Ho". Shaun has tainted Amelia and she is to OBSESSED with Disneyland and loves when her dad sings her the songs. Yo Ho Yo Ho, A pirates life for me, is her favorite.

She loves playing with daddy before bedtime. It is so cute to see her love her dad so much. It just goes to show you how the roles of Fathers are so important. =)

Riddle TIme.......

So what does it mean when I drink Sonic slushies everyday for the past 11 weeks and

go to bed early, sleep in and still take a nap everyday????

Wild child # 3 is on his or hers way.........October 5th to be exact.
We are so excited and can't wait to meet the new addition to the family. This pregnacy has been the same as the last 2, I'm lucky enough not to get sick but I want to sleep ALL DAY long and I don't have much energy. I'm sure most of you figured it out by now.....my mid-area is growing faster than I would like. But all worth it!! And yes I'm telling you the big news with my blog......what can I say it 2010, at least I didn't just text you....which I wanted to but Shaun said NO =)

A little Giving, a little Getting

My Aunts organized a day of service for the Give a Day, Get a Day thing that Disneyland is offering. They planned a fun event for those families who have a child with Down Syndrome to come and be pampered. My sisters and I were in charge of the bow making booth and all the girls could come and pick out the ribbon they wanted and we made them either a headband or hair clip. It was lots of fun and so cute to see them walking around with their hair all done and a new cute bow in it. So yes we go to Disneyland often but my whole family did this, so we will be going on a trip to Disneyland with the Sellards gang and they haven't been for over 7 years or so. It should be fun.

First of March

Well March is here....I love this month......possible because St. Patricks Day is this month and with Green being my FAVORITE color, I go over board with this day. But March also brought a new fun event, Ryker is going to finish out the last 3 months of preschool at Boulder Creek Elementary. We both thought it would be good for him to have a different teacher besides his mom and give him a little more independence. He loves it.

Well I just had to share this picture. This is what happens when Daddy gets the kids dressed. He can't do piggy tails so poor Amelia has to sport the mullet if dads around. Or he turns her into Rambo with what is supposed to be used as a belt!! Well at least he tries =)

Do-Do-Do-Do-Dora

If you watch the Dora the Explorer, you know that is the first line in the song......
Well my baby is now 2 and to celebrate we had a day of Dora...her favorite!!!

She woke up to some balloons....and her favorite cereal Lucky Charms....I never buy "sugar" cereal except on their birthdays and boy was she happy. She ate all the marshmallows.........that's it. =)

I had preschool that day so not to much excitement during the day, but when Dad got home, I did some grillin' and we had a little dinner outside. The weather is just perfect....it is like what 70 degrees.

Then inside for some cupcakes and presents. The funny thing is, none of us are really big cake or cupcake fans....we all just like the frosting.

Make a wish then spit all over trying to blow out the candle.

Millie licking the frosting right up.

The 2 birthday girlies.

Whooohooo......what a fun day. Good night my sweet little lady. I hope you had a great birthday.

Terrific Two's

My sweet baby is 2 years old today and I can't believe it. She has been the perfect addition to our family. I want to remember all the fun things about her:
-she has the cutest little voice and will try to say anything you ask her to say--she talks pretty good for a 2 year old.
-when I ask her to get something or tell her we need to brush her teeth she listens right away and says "ok mama"
-this girl could EAT around the clock. She is always asking for snacks and treats and cocos (crackers)
-she won't sit still for a picture.....her eyes always look away from the camera
-she has sooooooo much energy........keeping up with her and Ryker is exercise enough
-she is 2 and STILL has to have her "Be" (blanket) and "Papa" (paci) ALL THE TIME!!!! I have no idea why she calls them those names and I don't care what others think, I'm not even going to try to take them away yet. Hey I asked my dentist and he said her teeth are fine =)
-Along with her wanting to eat all the time she HAS to have "sauce" with everything......ranch, ketchup, salsa, sour cream, peanut butter etc..... she loves to dip.
-She loves Dora the Explorer
-She loves to have her daddy sing "yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me"----seriously she is OBSESSED
-she loves her baby cousins
-she still sleeps in her crib and has yet to try and climb out.
-she is and has been a great sleeper
-she is so so silly and cracks us up all the time.

This was Amelia one year ago--Feb 25th, 2009

Amelia 4 months old

Feb 25th, 2008

Ameli, Millie, Millers, Dollie, Amelia, Sister, Skinny Piglet, Millfred.......and the list goes on.......we LOVE you so so much and you melt my heart every day with your cutness. Seriously I'm so GRATEFUL you are my daughter and apart of our family. Happy Happy Birthday you sweet sweet girl!!!!!

Mr and Mrs. Wells

Wow another Sellards made the big leap and is Married!!!! We couldn't be happier and love Blake. They are a cute cute couple and it will be so fun to watch them start out their new life and grow as a new couple. Well I'm still recovering from all the wedding stuff but EVERYTHING turned out great and not a single problem. Ok here is the run down....I'm bummed because I didn't any any pictures at the reception, luckily my mom got a few.

Here we are Thursday night getting everything set up!!! We had such great help and we are grateful for all the amazing people who did so much!!!

Me getting the sign-in table ready
Well we got everything set up in like 6 hours and I was home by 10:00pm to get some sleep because the Wedding day was going to be a long one.

Blake and Sarah Wells

Our family is growing and I love it.

The proud mamma and daddyo

Awe....the classic sissy picture.

Once again Millie woudn't sit still and let me take a good picture, but she was a cutie and Ryker was my handsome boy.

Now for the reception........Thanks Amanda for helping with the sign-in table, it was so cute!!

Food table

Blake and Sarah LOVE Root Beer so they had to have some at the reception.

They also had cinnamon rolls for dessert. Obviously My Piglet can hold her own when it comes to eating them.

Well What a great day and I'm really mad at myself for not taking pictures of the luncheon that day as well. Sarah and Blake, I wish you the best, marriage is so fun but it takes lots of work to keep it going. I know you guys will do great and I'm looking forward to all fun times our family will continue to have.

A Bold Fresh Wedding

As you know we have ONE week till SuSu's wedding. So Last Saturday I loaded up Millers and we picked up Sarah to go run more errands. Millie was a trooper and went in and out of several stores with us. We were looking for some tall topiaries and found something better....well my car is not huge so we crammed 5 tall plants in and poor Millie looked like she was in a jungle. Love her. Well I then had to get to a baptism later that afternoon, so I headed home changed my clothes, went to the Baptism of a nice nice man in our ward. Then raced back home went to a few more places, to get home in time to go to an EVENT I have been waiting weeks for!!!!!

Both my TV loves.......O'Reilly and Beck are doing a Bold Fresh Tour and since they can't possible visit every city, they broadcasted their live show to 500+ movie theaters so obsessed fans like me could still see their show!!!

It was great!!! I went with Shaun and his Dad, Shaun more less came along for the ride. I loved every minute of it. We were the youngest people there, ALL OLD PEOPLE--whiched surprised me but I was clapping and cheering right along with them. As Shaun and Doug just laughed at me. No I'm not a out-of-control right winger......close though =) I just don't like where our country is headed......Mr. Obama is a modern day Robin Hood.....steal from the rich to give to the poor. Well I'm sorry but that is not what I'm all about.

Well at least I got a few hours break from wedding stuff, but as soon as I got home around 9:00pm, Sarah and Blake showed up to help paint. This wedding stuff never ends.

I had a great weekend.....I'm so looking forward to the wedding, Valentine's Day and Birthdays!!!!! I {LOVE} February!!!!
