The beginning of Fun February

Shaun had to work a Saturday for ABC 15 so he got to take a 1/2 day during the week so we thought that would be a perfect time to go to the Sea Life Aquarium in AZ Mills Mall. I had bought tickets through Groupon awhile back.....it was a cool place but I wouldn't pay full price which is like $19 per person.

Ryker has always had a love for ocean animals. They do have lots of cool things to look.

They have these bubble looking things so you can pop your head up in to the huge tank and feel like you are underwater with the creatures.

They had some pretty big sharks in their biggest tank. That was Ryker's favorite part.

The jellyfish

Rigatoni slept the whole time and woke up at the end.

I gave Ryker a few options on Valentines Day cards and he choose the "Love-bot". They turned out super cute but took alot of time and work. Ryker and I worked on them a little each day over a couple of days. Ryker is a busy boy so I'm constantly trying to come up with different things for him to do, so this was fun mother-son time.

In the middle, the robots body is a piece of chocolate. I didn't come up with this on my own....I saw it on another blog.

Ryker's basketball coach works at Desert Ridge Highschool, so he asked if we would bring our team so they can play a little game against each other for the half time show. The crowd just loved them. They were so cute and it was so much fun to see them try and make shots to the high hoop (they play on a lower hoop).  Ryker is #5...he picked that number of course because he is 5 years old.

I finished the quilt top to for Amelia's soon to be big girl bed. I love it!!  I can't wait to get it quilted and then add the ruffle edging. I will post the finished product when it gets done. I LOVE quilting....I wish it weren't so darn expensive. I want to one day, be add to work that huge quilting machine and do it myself =)

Happy pre-Valentines day Sunday. Amelia all pretty in pink.

The big day is here. The night before I had the table set for breakfast and their little goodies with cards out. I also heart-attacked their rooms and some of the house.

Ryker with his Valentines goodness.

Millie and her good morning cheesy smile. (Riggy was still sleeping so no pictures of him-sad)

Our pink heart-shaped pancakes.

For Ryker's class party we did centers again. That is what the teacher likes best to keep things running smoothly. So the first center was a math dice game. They had to roll their dice and add it up then color in the heart with the number from their addition problem. They really liked it.

second station was making a Love-bug. I had the wings and body already cut out and glued together so they got to add foam sticker hearts, googly eyes and an antenna.

Third was a cookie decorating station. Always a favorite. Then for the next station they got to eat their cookie and read Valentines books.

Then their was a memory game. I found little objects that were red or pink. Then each child got a turn to take an object away and the others had to figure out what it was.

Ryker wanted me to take 2 pictures......this is his face because he had girly valentines

Then a happy face for the boy ones. He is such a goofball =)

The rest of January

I know I have mentioned how much Amelia LOVES sweet treats. So the other day I heard her in the kitchen talking to herself and she was at the kitchen table pretending to make her own breakfast......take a look and Millies DREAM Breakfast: 2 doughnut, cupcake, slice of pizza, a scoop of ice cream, one french fry and an orange (at least that is healthy) and if you look in her hand she is squeezing chocolate syrup all over it. I can see the dentist bills now.

This is Millie with her friend Bryce. Lets just say if we were allowed to arrange marriages for our kids...this would be our pick =)

We love decorating for the holidays around here and Valentines Day is girlie but I found this cute "love-Bot" for Ryker to color...so we can add a little manliness to the holiday.

With her obsession with food....comes a new one.....JEWELRY.  She loves her bling...bracelets, rings, necklaces and I can't believe she doesn't have bows in her hair because she is the one who picks them out everyday.

My little guy has been in school 100 days now!!

Shaun and I are not pet people but my sister Adelle, took Ryker for a little fun time and they came back with this!!! A FISH...his name is speed and Ryker loves him.

Ok my big chubby-bubby is growing so fast. We put  him in the bumbo and instead of sitting and chillin....he is trying to get out of it to grab the buzz cup. He is only 4 months old....seriously, what am I going to do with him.

Hummmm....what could Amelia be hiding with her blanket........

Yep....she is almost 3 and still has a paci........it is really because of my selfishness that she still has it. I'm afraid if I take it away she won't nap anymore and I NEED her to keep napping =)

We had a fun few days when Shantay and Briss Briss came to visit. My kids LOVE their cousin and we miss her so much when she is gone. (Side note: Briss is 13 months and weighs 18 pounds, Rigdon is 4 months and weighs 15 pounds) He is my biggest kid yet!!!

Speaking of my big boy...he had his first ear infection and he has a cough and snuffy nose. It is so sad and not fun having a sick baby!!! But he still would be so smily and cute!! Gotta love him!

Well get ready for my February post....it should be fun =)

January 2011

Well Happy New Year to everyone.......we had a great/boring New Years. We started out by going to our friends house. I only took one picture, lame........but I thought it was funny that the dads are playing the video games and not the kids. Then we went home around 11:00pm....yes lame again......put our tired kids to bed then Shaun watched the ball drop on TV while I sat at the kitchen table studying for my Sunday School lesson. Don't worry I did get up to give poor Shaun a New Years kiss.

Ryker started Basketball. He is doing better and better each week. He really does love it and it is nice having a few friends on the team.

Oh my Riggy boy.....how I love thee and your oh so kissable cheeks.

So did I mention before how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE the month of February??? I LOVE Valentines day.....one of my favorites to decorate for. It is also Millies and mine birthday month. So all around a great month. Funny thing is I'm not a romantic person.....nor need to be romanced, my favorite colors are green and blue so who knows why I like this holiday so much, but when I have a mansion I will have a room decorated for each holiday, year round........this would be my valentines room, minus the Hello Kitty stuff.....or who knows, I just might keep it. =)

Millie wants a cupcake party for her 3rd birthday and I couldn't be more excited....holy cow I have already planned it and bought the stuff. I decided that birthdays needs to be more special so I will share with you along the way and few new things I'm doing to make that day so special for my kids. Ok...stay tuned =)

What made 2010 so great.....

Wow...what a GREAT year. It started out with a bang. First Shaun and I finding our we were expecting baby # 3.....but kept it a secret till after my sisters wedding. My sister Sarah got married in February to one GREAT guy, Mr. Blakie Poo Wells. We love him and he is a GREAT addition to the family.  Sorry to all the other Uncles but he is probably my kids favorite....because he can do magic =)

Another GREAT thing that happened in 2010, was I went to the America Revival Tour by Glenn Beck. It was amazing and very inspirational!

It wouldn't be a GREAT year without LOTS and LOTS of swimming.....almost everyday of summer to be exact.

We had a GREAT time at Disneyland........the kids were SO much fun and did so well.

Another GREAT was the beach of course.

We had a GREAT first, but not last visit to Lagoon in Utah. Meeting up with our Idaho family was so fun. The only not GREAT part was we were missing Shaun.

Here is the worlds GREATEST Kindergartner.......my oldest started school =)

But the GREASTEST, BESTEST thing that happened in 2010 was the birth of our sweet handsome Rigdon. He is just a joy and made our little family complete =)

Man what a year.......so much to be thankful for that is for sure!!!
