Youngest Fire Fighter

We had a pretty low key Memorial Day. Shaun had the day off and spent the morning mowing the yard and editing videos, so by 2:00 in the afternoon it was time to have a little family fun. Ryker wanted to go swimming so we thought we would go swimming at his parents but both boys were to cold and only got in to their knees, what wimps =)  So since Pa (Doug, Shauns day) was on duty we thought we would take Ryker to see where he works. He has never been before. He was in heaven, lots of big fire trucks and fun stuff.

Captain Ryker Martineau at the wheel.

Ryker and Pa  in front of a huge fire truck!

All geared up and ready to save some lives.

This is an old fire truck they still use for parades and stuff.

Pa even took it out for a spin around the block. Ryker didn't like when Pa ran the bell, to loud.

Hey Leah! Ryker is too cute! I'll check around to see if anyone I know wants to do those super cute USA blocks! I love them! I'm going to hold off on doing them, I'm heading to UT the end of June and were planning on having a craft day, so I'm saving up $$ for that. Have you ever been to the blog tipjunkie.blogspot.com?? My sister just turned me on to it, it has awesome craft ideas, I'm lovin it! Are you a scrapbooker? I'm going to try to have a scrappin night sometime in June, I'll let ya know when, it would be fun if you could come! OK way long comment...sorry...

Cute pics! Ryker looks like he was having a good ol' time w/ his grandpa:)

The books my sister and I are reading (I actually haven't started yet) are The Great and The Terrible series by Chris Stewart. You can get 'em at Deseret, Seagull or Amazon. They are suppose to be REALLY good. I can't wait to get started!!!

What adorable pics. I know that my kids and Wendy's kids would have loved to visit Ryker and his Pa at the station. I/we can't wait to see you in a few weeks.

Leah,
What the heck! Wendy and I feel ripped off. I just saw your summer blocks and the bloom blocks. Can we still get them? I love the cup cake. Where'd she get the pan for that? Is there website? Let me know. Thanks.

Hobby Lobby is the absolute best thing ever to happen to Gilbert. Or it will be, I love that place.
I have been calling your parent's house looking for you. Do you do preschool doing the summer? I wanted to sign Cooper up.

I just noticed your Hobby Lobby announcement. That is the BEST store ever!!! I first started shopping there when we moved to Mississippi 5 years ago! When I moved back west, I went through major withdrawals. Then I moved to Texas and was thrilled that I could shop there again. I was bummed when I realized that moving back to UT meant no Hobby Lobby again! But to my surprise--they built one here while I was away:) I'm telling you--it is the greatest store ever! They have EVERYTHING and its almost always 50% off!!! I had taken my mom to the ones in MS and TX so she went nuts when she heard it was being built by you guys.

How fun for Ryker! What a great connection. I've seen shawns dad before. I think I remember him teaching a few of my CPR classes or something.
