Dang Gina... I'm old

First off HAPPY 18th Birthday Wuggie!!!! I can't believe you are this old. I remember like yesterday mom going to the hospital so Me, Abe and Sarah had to go over to Grandma Anns and Bompa Jess' for the night. We all thought for sure mom was having a boy. Then dad called us the morning of June 28th, 1991 and told us we had a new baby sister. Abe yelled out "Aw Man" but I was so excited to have another sweet sister. We called you baby sister for the first 3 weeks of your life because mom and dad didn't have a name for you yet, you were suppose to be named Ethan =)
What can I say you are such a funny funny girl. You were born with BIG dark eyes, hair and skin. Such a beautiful baby and now you are all grown up to a BEAUTIFUL young lady =)
Thank you for the hours and hours of babysitting you have done for me. I hope you know I'm always here for you and love you to death!!!!

Crazy sisters!!!

Well for the past week here are a few things worth noting. Missy Sissy had a little baby scare but she is now alright. She needs to take it easy and no more trying to me superwoman!!! So since she didn't work for a few days we had a craft night. We got alot done and I'm glad we will be doing this weekly.
This is a couple of yo-yos making yo-yos =)

We made some cute accessories to spruce up our clothes. (oh and Mis, I wore mine to church today- cute cute if I do say so myself)

Then we are making a quilt for everyone in the fam. Yes 9 quilts and they have to be done before our trip at the end of August. 1 down and 8 more to go!!

Then Saturday night our brave friend who lives in Chicago (she is pilot) flew into town and she is 37 weeks pregnant!!!!! Luckily baby Wyatt didn't come early but it was great seeing her and her cute little belly!!! We laughed the evening away as usual and stuffed our faces. Oh and Rhona, I had to go to the store later that night and thought of you as I crammed my plastic bags onto the self in my pantry, I ain't folding them into mini flags =)  Well good luck with the labor and delivery and I'm excited to see pictures of the new little one!!!

Heath, Rhona, Nat, Lis, Me and Linds

Bad picture but of course little Miss wouldn't work with me. I made her another little skirt and this time added a little ruffle/ plead thing to a plain t-shirt. I think it turned out really cute and I have another ruffle dress I want to try and make her for the 4th of July.  We will see if I get that far!! =)

Well my animal rescuer is back. Ryker was obsessed with Diego for a long time then it sort of faded away but he is back and we can only call him Diego!!!  and a funny side note if you know the Diego theme song this is funny. When I was tucking him in one night he was telling me about the animal he saved from the mean witch, then all serious he says mom, I swing on vines and my cousin is Dora.  Oh I love you little man.

(he had to have his animal pjs, pillow and his trusty chicken)

Past Week Re-Cap

Oh man what a busy crazy week. I have hardly anything planned for this next week and I'm so excited!! Yet every time I try and do this, by the end of the week I seemed to have filled it up again. Monday Ryker started another swim class. He took some lessons from Ms Celeste at the beginning of the summer and swimming finally clicked for him so I want him to keep practicing and working on his breathing so next summer he can do swim team. He is my little fish.
Friday my friend and her fam invited us to the lake.  I got a babysitter for Millie so Ryk and I got to do a little tubin'.

Me and Nat!!!  Thank you (and Jason) for letting us come.

We took a little break and let the kids find shells and "dinosaur teeth" on the beach. Yes it is a little getto but hey the kids had fun.
Brinnie, Ashlynn and Ryker

While waiting at the dock for Jason to get the car and trailer, the duck were swarming the kids in hopes for food.

As I've said many many times by 10:00am my kids are ready to get out of the house !!! Shaun had to edit and couldn't go swim with us so I decided to take them to Brimhall. Um ...no one was there. It was great. We picked up my little brother and he played with Ryker while I followed Amelia around.  It was so fun and we will be going again so let me know if you want to join us =)

Ryker went down the slide a zillion times.

That evening Shaun went to the movies with his dad and after surging drama I started on the pillowcases we are making for the girls. Very easy sewing it was the cutting them out that took time. I got 15 done, so 15 more to go. I can't wait till Girls Camp
Our ward color is Orange, if you could tell.  Of course it is my LEAST favorite color but the girls like it =)

Happy Father's Day!!! We love our Daddy so much and got him a few fun things to celebrate the day. Something for him to hang at work, Ryker made him a little craft and Millie gave him his favorite candy!!

So who remembers the show Perfect Strangers???? Shaun and I both watched this as kids and thought it was so funny so when I saw it on DVD I had to get it. Shaun and I could still remember the theme song.... ask and we will sing it for ya!!!! NOT..... only in front of the kids =)

Well what a fun day and now we are off to visit my dad and Shauns. I'm thankful for all the "Fathers" out there.

Craft Overdose

So I ALMOST was the first person to die from a Craft over-dose. Holy cow I LOVE visiting Utah were so many people are way to crafty for their own good.  I'm getting ahead of myself.

Shaun has some relatives who live in Idaho. They have always been a very close family and ever since Shaun was little they would go on family trips together every year. Well fast forward to 2007 and my mom and sissy in law, Ryker and I flew up to Utah and Rita (mom-in- laws sister) Wendy and Cari (shauns cousin) drove to Salt Lake with their kids and we had a great time.  2008 All the families met up in California and went to Disneyland, Legoland and the beach.  So this year we ditched the kids and hubbies and met up in Utah again, this time for a Craft Madness Girls Trip.

Missy, Me and Leann on the plane Thursday evening.

We get to the hotel around 9:30pm or so and Wendy, Cari and Rita were ready with all sorts of funness (made up word)

Rita, Wendy and Leann

They opened the door to a whole new area of crafting- bead jewelry!!!  Thanks alot!!!!! Look at all the bracelets and watch bands made in one night!!

We finally get ready for bed and settle down to go to sleep at like 1:30 or so knowing we had a full day ahead of us.

Friday: The day I almost died!!  We first went to my new favorite place on the planet.... Move over Disneyland THIS place was the happiest place on earth.

The Garden Village. If you have ever been to San Diego's Sea Port Village, this was just like that but all the little shops were for crafters. They had home decor, quilts, fabrics, candy shop, the BEST sandwich shop etc.. I would walk into a store and just about have a heart-attack because I wanted it all. Seriously I was so overwhelmed.
This is Missy and I in the best home decor shop.

The Girls minus Rita who was buying something in front of the Mill.

I could have spent ALL DAY just in this store!!

After we finished up with the Gardens Village we headed over to Tia Pan and we were so sad we only could get things that would fit in a suitcase. Next time we are driving up to Utah and bringing a trailer.

For dinner we went to a favorite place Red Robin. I cropped the picture because their are only 2 pregnant women  but yet it looked like their were 3,  I couldn't suck in my gut after over eating!!

We also went to a store called The Wood Connection, this is were I had my nervous-breakdown. It was just full of unfinished wood projects at a great price.  I did buy a huge frame I can paint to put in my living room but of course it didn't fit into our bags so sweet Rita is going to ship it to me! THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH RITA!!!!

Saturday we went to get pedicures and boy howdy my hobbit toes sure needed one. They look so purdy now =)

We ate lunch at the Olive Garden then ran over to the Distribution Center and the Mall. The weather was PERFECT the whole time but the minute we got to the outdoors mall it rained cats and dogs for a bit.

Then it was time to say good-bye and get back to the real world.  Wendy and Cari PLEASE move down here, we would have more fun than you could dream of!!!! I would move up to Idaho but I couldn't handle the snow. =)

Oh this was one of the funiest trips ever and we, ok I decided we are for sure doing this again next year and I'll start to save my money now. Thank you Leann and Rita for making it possible and such wonderful memories have been made, lets re-cap:

Rita:  she finally gave us our christmas gift that she has had for a few years now. she cracks me up. It is the biggest binder of Family Home Evening lessons and activities. My kids will love it!!!

Wendy: she is the BEST driver around =) Thanks for shuttling us around even if we gave you a hard time for your sense of direction.

Cari: she is the driving force, without her organizational skills we would not have accomplished so much in so little time.
I can't wait to find out what you are having!!!

Leann:  she did such a good job and not buying anything the first day but then had a relapse and made up for it the 2nd day. =)

Missy: she wins the prize for most random comment "wendy if someone wanted to steal all your beads, would you swallow them so they couldn't have them"  holy cow you are funny Mis. She also was a great sport even when she felt sick the first day.

Leah: well I guess they were shocked with my high energy level until the 2nd day I threatened them  not to wake my up for breakfast I would rather sleep =)

I can't wait for the 2010 trip =)

Latest Creations

So remember at the beginning of the year I said I was going to sew something every month well I actually have been doing that but not posting. This skirt and bow for Millers is my latest and my favorite. The picture doesn't do it justice but she wouldn't let me take many more pictures. I even made bloomers as well. I love my Dollie and find so much joy in making her things.

So girls are so easy to make things for but boys get neglected in the sewing world. So a few months ago I make this little costume for Ryk. Girls have tons of dress ups but boys like to as well and you can't find much if it is not Halloween time. This is nothing great but I think it  cute (or "cool" as Ryker would say it) and simple. He wanted to be Raphel  but I make all the different colors of headbands. I need to finish the other "shells" for when friends come to play... even though he plays with alot of girls =)

Just a quick typical summer day photo. We spent most of our afternoon/ evenings outside and I LOVE it. Shaun comes home and goes right outside and I finish making dinner. It is great.

Seriously a diaper and undies... what mom would do that.

Giggles and more Giggles

It is almost 11:00pm and I got 4 hours of sleep last night and I'm waiting for my hubby to come home!!!     I guess I should start at the beginning. Friday afternoon I got to load up with my Sista friends, Linds, Heather, Lis and Nat, and head up North to Puff Natties Cabin. We went on a girls trip 2 years ago and we want this to be an annual thing but last year Nat and I had babies in Feb so it never worked. Well this year we did miss Morgan due to nursing her babe and of course our 2 out-of-states Meg and Rhona.

We drove up Friday and got their around 6:00 so we were all hungry for dinner... where else but El Rancho!!  mmmm mmm good!!!

Then back to the cabin were our night really begins!! Last time I was the late-night talker but this time it was Nat. We stayed up talking, giggling, laughing and reminiscing till I think 3:00am or so, who really knows.

We enjoyed waking up slowly and lounging around. After we finally got dressed we were ready to hit up a few shops.  Lindsay was eyeing some sweet turquoise jewelry  but controlled herself and didn't buy any. hahaha

Group Hug

Favorite boutique the Pepperberry cottage, we all got the same candle, Ginger Peach. I'm burning it as we speak and it is Delightful!!!

Some random big chair, this was the best shot the nice little lady took =)

Well THANK YOU Nat for letting us crash at your place and having a very much needed trip. I love my girls and I'm so grateful for all of your friendships!!!!! You all our amazing mothers and I'm so glad to have such great examples in my life.  Sorry for being mushy and not sassy but it is late and tonight after we got home I went to one of the BEST adult Stake Conferences EVER!!! It was a great ending to a fun fun weekend.  Shaun is now the guy who is filming it with a camera so they can broadcast it to other buildings and they are getting ready for tomorrow, that is why he is not home. I'm so ready for bed but waiting for him so blogging is keeping me up!! Shaun is the best hubby ever he took great care of my peeps while I was gone and the house was totally clean!! What a good boy =)  Happy wife= Happy life
