What a fun Halloween we had this year. First off my kids didn't mind one bit that they didn't go trick-or-treating on Sunday. We had so many parties that by the time we got to Sunday, they had fun passing candy out with their Pa. Ok lets back up, so Wednesday before Halloween, Ryker came home from school and seemed fine. An hour later he complained his head hurt, then his stomach hurt and 3 hours later the boy was throwing up. I was so sad for him and hoping he would only have a 24 hour bug because Friday was his Halloween party at school and guess who is the room mom, yep me and how sad that would be if he had to stay home while I go and throw a party for the rest of his class. But he was feeling better the next day so he stayed home to rest on thursday and was as good as new on friday. So I have always wanted to be the room mom so I can plan and organize the holiday parties. I came up with 5 stations and the kids rotated to each station, then we ended with a calk walk and food.
One of the stations was "Pin the wart on the Witch" I made this witch poster, laminated it, then used green play-dough rolled into a little ball for the wart.
Another station was "Spooky Pumpkin faces" I cut out tons of eyes, noses, mouths and random shapes so the kids could take their felt pumpkin and design many fun faces.
Ooops, forgot to rotate this picture but this station was "Don't Eat Mr. Pumpkin". Most of the kids in the class never played this game before so it was alot of fun.
I also made a Halloween memory game and then we did a Ghost craft at the other station. I was bummed I didn't get pictures. We also made these Frankenstien bags to put all their goodies in to take home. They won a prize after they completed every station.
We also had these skeleton sugar cookies. I saw them on another blog and had to make them. So cute hu?
Then Saturday night was our wards Trunk-or-Treat party. So I'm a weirdo and love when all the kids have coordinating costumes. I what them all to be something completely different but Ryker had to be spiderman so then Millie was a Ladybug and Rigdon a Bee, so they all were BUGS, yep that was the theme.
Seriously, have you ever seen a cuter Ladybug....I think not!!! =)
This brought back so many great memories. As soon as we got home Ryker and Amelia ran into the kitchen and started going through their bags to see what they got. I remember Abe and I staying up for hours after we got home, sorting and trading our candy. I always tried to trade my yucky candy for Abe's good candy. Ryker takes after his mamma.
I love my little skeletons. Happy Halloween!!

LEAH!! Oh my goodness... how long did it take to organize that Halloween party?! Soooo cute. You are in a whole other league than the rest of us for sure. Your kids are stinkin' cute. Love the skeleton jammies!
Ok Leah, I've decided I want to be you.
wow, you have a ton of energy! Didn't you just have a baby or something? Fun, fun, cute, cute! I hope you bring Rigdon with you Monday. Still have not seen him...I am horrible!
Your kids are crazy. Specially Milly. Remember my phone went missing and we found it in her candy bag and all she could say for herself was, "trick or treat!"? Remember? :)
