Sweet Baby Sister

Well our baby girl is finally here.
Amelia Martineau
7 lbs 15 oz    21 in long
Feb 25th 4:15pm
She came a day before her due date, I guess she didn't want to share her birthday with mama. Monday early morning at 1:00 in the morning, my water started to leak. I called the Dr around 3:30am and he said to go it at 6:00am. So I casually walked into the Hospital and they check me out.  I was dialated to a 4  and since I had to have this baby within 24 hrs of my water leaking they sent me to my delivery room. I was all hooked up and the nurse kept saying "Do you feel that", I said "Feel what"  she all, "yum you are having a contraction right now". Well I didn't feel it but went ahead and got my epidural, so yes we are a spoiled generation because I never felt one contraction!!! Thank you modern medicane!!!   Well they had to put me on potosin and after waiting forever it felt, (pain free) I finally was at a 10 and the Dr arrived and I pushed a few times and their she was.  So besides waiting forever all went well.  We came home today (Feb 27th) and I'm feeling great and baby is doing good.   I'm so grateful for her and that she is healthy.   ps I know I'm a bad speller so sorry for all the grammar errors, that is why I teach preschool not Highschool English =)

Dad, Mom and Amelia

Amazing Team!!! My nurse Kathy was the best. She was so sweet and just so much help. Of course a huge thanks to Dr. Holmes. He is the best Dr ever and I'm grateful for them and their help delivering our baby girl.

Miss Starwberry Stortcake.  That is what we call her when she had this hat on. She came back from the nursery with it on, I guess they have a sweet old lady who loves knitting little hats.  She was very stylish and all the nurses loved it.
I will post some better pictures of her soon. She is so tiny and cute.  Ryker loves her and wants to show her to anyone who comes over.

Spring Craft

So I'm getting started on this a little early since I'll be out of commission for a few weeks. I thought I better get going on this one. This is the project for my next craft night. Since Easter is early this year (March 23rd) I thought for the month of April we will stick with "Spring".    If you would like to come to my craft night or order the kit let me know.  I will email you all the details.

PS I can't take credit for assembling this one, my partner in crime who I do this with for Enrichment as well, actually did the work.  Thanks Wendy!!

Top of the Mornin' to ya...

Ok I had to get these done a little early since the baby could be coming soon. So here is my St. Patty's Day decor for you.  I know most don't decorate for St. Patricks Day but that is my March theme.  Easter is early this year so I'm going to jump to that. Ok just wanted to share some ideas with you.  =)

The past 20 years...

My friend Alissa tagged me and it is a cute tag for Valentines Day that is coming up. It is a brief history of how Shaun and I met, so here we go. Our eyes met from across the room, everything around him seemed to have faded away. He started to walk over to me and said "can I have your green crayon"!!

Just kidding, I don't remember what we first said to each other but Shaun and I first met in 1st grade, Ms Taylors class and Pioneer Elementary. We also were in the same 2nd and 3rd grade class, but then Gilbert was growing so they built a new school and he was sent off to a different school.

Just look at these faces, how cute!!! Shaun still has the same hair style (he he)

We were then reunited in 7th grade. Shauns family actually moved into my ward. Our friendship was rekindled and we were friends from that point on.  Sometime in highschool Shauns feeling towards me turned into more than just a friend, but I did not return those feeling. He didn't stop trying though. He took me on my first date, the minute I turned 16 and asked me to my first Homecoming dance. Please no laughing at our picture.

We went all through highschool just as best friends and then the day came for Shaun to leave on his misson. I went to the airport to see him off.  He was standing their in his new suit looking tall and handsome. When I thought to myself "Why did I not like this guy"?  He was out for a year or so and we were writing as friends of course, when I realized, he was the guy for me. We knew that when he got home we were going to "date" and see if it was the real deal. He got home in Dec of 2002, we were engaged April 2003 and married July 17, 2003 and the rest is history!!  Time sure flies and I can't believe we have been married for almost 5 years now with one little guy and a bun just about cooked in the oven!!   So their ya go, Shaun and I in a nutshell!!

21 days to GO!!!!

Well I have 21 more days till my due date and I wish it were sooner.  Some days are better than others but today I have no energy and every time I stand up I get really light-headed so I've been laying in bed all morning.  I've been so excited about Super Tuesday and can't wait to go vote but I can't watch any more news this morning because that is all I will be doing tonight. So I found a show from my past to watch.  After watching 4 episodes in a row I realized this show taught me some very valuable lessons, like don't judge people from the outside, don't use fake ID's to get into dance clubs and best of all don't drive your High School principals new car. Yes my friends I watch Saved by the Bell for 2 hours!!!   I'm sure watching this show faithfully for years, shaped me into the person I am today. So I wanted to say thank you to Zack and the gang for their wonderful influence in my life.   =)     (ok this was meant to be funny and I'm really mad at myself for wasting 2 hrs this morning). Oh and if your wondering where  Ryker was during all this, don't worry I threw some Cheerios on the floor for him.

THANK YOU

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all my amazing friends who gave me a baby shower.  I feel so blessed to be in such a great ward and to have become close to so many people. These are just a few who help put together such a beautiful shower.  Look at all the yummy food.
It was so fun having all these little girls at the shower to help. They are all in my Sunbeam class and so sweet.  They were great help handing me my presents to open. They are what make me so excited to have a baby girl.
Me and my cute and wonderful mom.  She made a beautiful blanket for her first granddaughter. I was impressed she got it done BEFORE she got here, considering she gave Ryker his blanket when he was 2 years old =)
I really didn't take to many good pictures, well my sister was suppost to and didn't do her job. So sorry I don't have more pictures to share.  But thank you to all who came, it really meant so much to me and baby girl will love all the cute things she got. I can't wait to dress her up =)
