Crafts on the Cranium

So here is my latest "Wish List" for crafts I would like to accomplish. I really really love sewing and I've made Millie tons of skirts and dresses (just finished another one tonight-will post pictures soon) and want to venture out, so here are some too cute for words-projects!!

Are you serious with these!!! I like freaked out when I saw these. I think I love having kids because they are my excuse to have toys. I'm planning on making a Ryker doll and Millie doll for Christmas!!!

I want to make this one for me. You thought I was kidding when I said I LOVED TOYS!! Not mention this doll and I have the same hair style.--Ratty.

So I've always wanted to make my kids blankets, but when they are babies they are bombarded with blankets including the 2 from their grandmas, which they love. I want them to have a quilt they can use when their older so I hope to make it bigger to fit a big person. This quilt is simple and I think it will be fun to go and pick out several different fabrics.

Like I mentioned before I'm going to be an AUNT FINALLY , this fall/ winter. First I have my sissy in law Missy having their first baby in November then my brother and Shannie are due in December. So it is a 2 for one deal for me =) Missy is having a boy and Shannie is having a girl (which I predicted for both of them I might add) when I saw these cuddly fabric blocks I knew I had to make a set for both of them.

We are going on a trip at the end of August so I thought this pillow was so stinkin cute. I ALWAYS travel with a pillow and this way I can store some things as well. I'm actually planning on making one for Ryker and if I have time, I will make Amelia one too. My kids LOVE their books.

Last but not least- FELT FOOD. I've seen this and totally thought it was the cutest but Missy really lite the fire under us and demanded we made it, so I found the cutest patterns from a place on Etsy. www.buggabugs.blogspot.com is the link and holy cow she has several felt food patterns. So over the next few weeks this is what we will be working on.

I know most of you think I'm crazy and ask "where do you find the time to do this?". Well we all have our outlets and while the rest of you are probably cleaning your house I'm crafting =) It is my therapy and if I didn't craft or have a 5 mile long list of things to do then I wouldn't have something to look forward too. It is good to accomplish little things here and their, whether it be reading a book, learning a new recipe, or completing a craft.... it just makes you feel good!!

Stop right now. Emily has been harassing me for literally the whole summer to make felt food. There are so so so many cute ideas. Who wouldn't want to make ravioli out of felt? Honestly! I think we should make a goal to have all home made gifts to give at Christmas this year :)

I saw this post and for one was overwhelmed with all of the projects on your list. BUT, the felt food looks SO cute. I LOVE stuff like this. I need a girl! But even my boys love to play McDonald's with their kitchen. I went out today and bought some felt and found a free pattern for sandwich and strawberries. I think we could manage bread and pancakes and muffins, etc on our own. The apples and oranges that put slices in the peel look harder though. She also has felt nativity that would be awesome for Christmas presents. Anyways, if you want to get together to try the felt food sometime, let me know!

These aren't quite as good as buggabuggs but a lot of them look really good. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=222947.0
