February 2012 Valentines and Birthdays

Every year I let the kids pick what they want to give for their Valentines cards. I showed Ryker a few that I knew he would like and he decided on the Toad candy one. I bought several Frog gummie candies and his Valentine said "Have a TOAD-ally Awesome Valentines Day!  He doesn't want anything to lovey-dovey so this was perfect.

Amelia of course wanted Silvermist Valentines cards so we found Tinkerbell and her fairy friends cards and she wrote her name on each of them :)  Also instead of candy she gave out a cute heart ring.

What a stud muffin!!

Oh I love my sweet little love bugs!! I also made Briss and Kinners matching outfits just like Millies. I wish we had a picture with them all in it!!

We decorated sugar cookies at Nanas house with cousin Riley.

This is a random picture of Rigdon. I have to lock the bathroom door because he knows how to open it. If he gets in there he loves to unravel the TP. You can see the joy this brings him.

Now on to the birthday festivities!!!! My dear friend Candice threw a "Young at Heart" Birthday party for me and Amanda Porter. Amanda and I both turned 30 this year and our birthdays are 3 days apart. We were also born at the same hospital so we joke that when her mom was walking out of the hospital with her, my mom was running in to have me.  So we were to dress up like the old ladies that we are since we are the dreaded 30!!! :)  As I thought about what I will be like when I'm an old lady....I knew exactly what I would look like. I will be sporting my berks, support hose and Americana attire because I know I will still be just as politically charged as I am now.

It was such a fun night with great food and even better friends!!! I am very blessed to have many wonderful women to surround myself with.

Amelia wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese soooooo bad, so we went with Nana, Pa and the Palmers. The kids had fun playing games and winning their tickets. She was a happy happy girl.

That night My mom in law gave me tickets to see Wicked, one of my favorite musicals ever. My mom has never been so I took her with me.

Amelia's Fairy Birthday. We invited a few friends for a very simple party.  It was mostly just dress up and the girls played.

Amelia, Jolie, Addy and Erica (we were missing Megan)

The next day was Amelia's REAL birthday. This is the dress she picked out for her birthday dress.

Oh Amelia, I just love this face. She is a sassy, sweet girl who keeps us busy. She is not one to sit still EVER. She goes a mile a minute all the time. She LOVES Silvermist (one of Tinkerbells fairy friends), make-up, dress-up, she loves to pretend to shop. She fills her shopping cart with random stuff around the house, so if I can't find something, I usually go search her room. Her favorite color is pink and she likes to snack all the time. She likes to eat chicken nuggets and fruit and veggies. But if she could eat candy all day, she would. She enjoys teasing her brothers and is very bossy. She has to know what is going on and ask a zillion questions about everything. She goes to bed early and wakes up early. She always has a purse full of stuff whenever we go out. She sure keeps us on our toes but she also brings us so much joy!!

Ryker also had his last game of the season (that we actually missed, I wrote down the wrong time and we drove up when it was over).   Oops :/

Then my birthday was on Sunday. I taught my Gospel Doctrine class at church and had a girls camp meeting right after dinner. I guess when you are a grown up life doesn't slow down for anything :)  My mom made me one of my favorite dinners, tacos and this delicious pink lemonade cake!! It was yum yum!!

Here are the 2 wonderful people that brought me into this world 30 years ago!! I sure do love my parents :)
