I normally don't watch Dr. Phil but I turned on the TV and he was on dealing with a family with a wild young boy, so of course I started to listen. Well that segment was about over and the next guest was a mom with 4 kids and to the point of wanting to leave her kids. I can't imagine walking out on my family!! Not for good anyways, but for and hour here and their YES. This lady just chased her wild kids around all day and never took time for her or had hobbies. She was very pretty and took good care of herself in the looks department. Stylish clothes, long hair with highlights, nails done etc. But she still wasn't happy. Bottom line Dr Phil said she needed to find a hobby and accomplish things. He said take up painting, tennis, crafts, cooking whatever but learn some new things and have fun with it. I ALWAY remind Shaun when he tells me I have to much craft stuff, that crafting, scrapbooking and sewing etc.. is therapy for me, I love finishing little projects here and their. I've been saying this for years and now I have the proof, because whatever Dr. Phil says goes right =) I'm so grateful for talents and hobbies and it is important for us moms not to lose ourselves when we have our kids. Because one day when they are all grown up, and no one is in the house then what will you do. I will hopefully be sewing cute dresses for my granddaughters or making a special treat for my kids and families. Ok Happy Day to one and All.
These are 3 of the millions of things I would like to make.

Yes Sir!! Thank you Dr. Phil. Gotta love him, he is always right in my book.
Those cute clothes that you want to make....I'll pay you to sew some for my girls too. They are darling & I love the colors.
Oh and the hobbies....I have too many and not enough time...:)
Your talented!!!
Yeah for Dr. Phil. I normally think he's is kind of kookoo but he is right about this one! That dress is way cute by the way.
Hi! So many conference talks have mentioned moms taking time for themselves and having a hobby. I'm glad that the non-LDS community is pushing that idea too! By the way, I have the pattern for that apron. I have had the fabric cut out since May and I still haven't sewed the adorable thing yet. :(
Amen, Dr. Phil and Amen Leah! (BTW, Maya has taken to naming many of her babies and animals "Leah".)
That apron is TO DIE FOR.
If you figure out how to make those cute things let me know. I would love for you to show me how. Where do you even find your cute ideas?
I always say that crafts and scrapbook and all that is cheeper them paying for therapy...
