McCain and Palin

So I was watching Fox news all morning waiting for McCains VP pick. I was shocked to see he picked never heard of woman from Alaska!! I sat watching the whole speech and I'm so excited to have her running with McCain. She is so inspiring and think she will do wonders for the campaign.  McCain was not my first choice but I would rather have him that Obama. Now that he has a young typical soccer mom, she will relate with the more conservative crowd again. She is a 44 yr old mom of 5 kids. He oldest son is in the army and then  3 daughters and a 4 month old, YES a 4 month old son with down syndrome!! He husband of 20 years must be a wonderful supportive husband and dad. I don't think I could do something this big and still have a family, heck sometimes I feel like I can't run a preschool and have 2 kids let alone be VP. But one day I hope to contribute to our community. She started in the PTSO at her kids school, then city council, Mayor, Governor and now Vice President!! I love it and honestly I always said the Presidents of the United States is a mans job but I don't mind a woman VP!!! Let the debates begin!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

The 1st thing I did this morning was run to check the news b/c I knew he was announcing his pick today and oh man was I shocked and dissappointed - initially. After watching the news almost all day, I can finally say how excited I am about his campaign. Since McCain beat Romney I've been totally bummed out w/ politcs and after today I want to know whats going on at all time! Yay! I think Palin is a fantastic choice and will be perfect for the job!

Ok, I too was excited to see the pick yesterday, and then was shocked. I'm glad you're happy about it, because I trust you and I haven't watched/read a ton about her yet. I've personally only heard negative/skeptisism. It was an obvious pull for the woman vote, but I have heard she won't do anything for getting that extreme conservative vote that he is lacking. Still disappointed it's not Romney, but again, I trust your judgement and will start doing my own research . BTW you should check out what she's named her kids. Good for a laugh (I think)- for a taste- one is named Trig. I sure hope he likes math!

It's taking everything in me not to blog about Sarah Palin- I just want everyone's opinion on her and I want to hear their thoughts!!! You couldn't have said it better though. She is totally inspiring and I have such faith in her. As for her taking over the whole country...THAT'S WHAT FREAKS ME OUT. Awwww...I just hope people get to know her before making a harsh judgement on her though. Another concern is she hasn't dealt with the 2 biggest factors that have occured the last 6 months-year....THE WAY, AND ECONOMY. It's going to be very interesting hearing her and Jo Biden debate. SERIOUSLY...she's going to get so drilled. I hope she does well and we begin to have even more faith in her and her capabilities. Now how perfect if she were Mitt's vp!!!

Well I have not done enough research on her so far, but I am not as confident as some of the other girls. She does not seem to have much experince. Plus I really don't know how you can juggle a 4 mo. old with downs and running for president. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of having a woman in office, I just need to find out more about this woman before I can feel confident in her ablities. Wish it were Romney but it just doesn't seem like a sign of the times to have a mormon president. It would be to good to be true.

Okay, I was shocked when she was elected...but that is awesome. I think she will do wonders for our country, if McCain becomes President. I dont like Obama at all...I think It will be absolute Chaos if he becomes president. Bring the debates on!! "Im a ready"

I am totally happy with his VP pick as well. Not just for all the right reasons, but she's pretty and therefore makes John McCain look a little better next to her! I know that sounds shallow, but aren't there statistics out there that say the better looking, taller candidate usually wins? :) Not that I think Obama is 'hitting one out of the park', but you get the idea.

Besides that non-sense, I like her platform and what she stands for. I think that she was the right pick for SEVERAL reasons (of course I am Mitt Romney all the way, but they way it stands this was a political move to win, he needed a woman).
